Settlement Puijola is a non-profit organisation based in Kuopio, Finland, with approximately 40 employees. We work with heart, professionalism, and joy to promote a fairer and happier everyday life for all. We are independent and non-affiliated in both political and religious matters.

What is Settlement Work?
The Settlement Movement is a politically and religiously non-affiliated civic movement and network of organisations that promotes dialogue between people, meaningful participation, and lifelong learning in society. We are part of the international Settlement Movement.
Settlement work was introduced to Finland in 1918, and for more than 100 years we have been working alongside people to build stronger communities, support inclusion, and enhance well-being.
